Halloween Festivites

Last Thursday little one and me went to the grocery store to pick up a couple pumpkins.  Call me crazy - but I just couldn't believe they were completely out of bigger sized pumpkins.  Alls they had were about 5 small/medium sized ones and then a bunch of the small sized ones for pie making (at least that's what the sticker on them said).  A while ago I picked up these Mr. Pumpkin Head pieces, that's what I call them.  We grouped them all together and then she'd pick out what set of eyes, nose, mouth, ears etc she wanted.  It was fun and something we can re-use!  Here's the combo that she came up with.  They are just too cute!

Later that night was our TorT night.  Feels like the rest of the country had it on actual Halloween, but anyways.  Hubby came home and quickly changed and we took our beautiful Snow White princess around a block or two.  I think my favorite costume was some little boys dressed in elephant costumes.  What were some of your favorites that you saw?

She got quite the haul of candy and goodies and suprisingly I think she's forgotten about it because she hasn't asked for any the past couple days.

Just a REMINDER - Yoplait Giveaway is set for tomorrow.  Make sure to check back and enter for your chance to win!

Thankful Tidbit
#4 - I'm thankful for my sisters boyfriend coming over this morning to mow our yard and do the trimming, especially since our yard is such a pain with 3 tiers and you have to use ramps to move the mower from one to the next.  It's been needed done, but b/c the Hubs doesn't get home until dark there was no way it was going to be getting done by him.

* Trick-or-Treat *

So, for Emma's 3rd official Trick-or-Treat night I would say it was a smashing success. She totally got into it, running from house to say, saying "trick-or-treat" and "thank you". Although she did trip on the sidewalk and got a bad booboo on her thumb, which she is totally milking it. She holds her right hand like it's in a cast and will say booboo continuously asking for kisses to make it better. It really is cute. Now for the pictures of our little summer fairy:

Doctor, Doctor

tell me the news...I've got a bad case of lovin' you.

I don't know why but this song popped in my head this morning as me and Emma were playing Dr. MIL gave us a soft gel pack to put in the fridge when Emma gets a booboo. She found it on the table, so I opened it for her and she'd put it on places on me, pat it, say booboo, then lift it and give the spot a kiss to make it all better! She melts my heart.

In other news, tonight is our Trick-or-Treat night. I feel like I'm a little kid looking forward to christmas morning as excited as I've been for today to finally get here. Unfortunately, it's only going to be in the 40's. Can we say BRRRRRRR!!! Went to Target this am to pick up a hat and some mittens. Hopefully we'll last for a little while if the wind is whipping around like it has been the past 2 days. Will be posting pictures later tonight.

Another Busy Weekend

Yet another weekend that has me beat. Worked Friday night, although it was so suprisingly dead that I got out early! Woo-hoo!!!

Saturday I went to an all day scrapbooking crop. A total of 75 women there. I got a whopping 6 layouts done. Will be taking pics of those tomorrow in the light since I forgot to, today.

The main reason for this post is to show off MIL's and my craftiness in making Emma's summer fairy costume. I need to re-do her wand, get some colored tights, MIL is going to glitter up some sneakers and re-do her crown and then she'll be all set to go. Here are a couple pictures of the materials used.

And then we were unsure about missing spots, so we threw the dress on the scarecrow to fill in empty spots we could see.

And then the costume wearer herself woke up from nap so we were able to put it on her, it was a little struggle to get it on her, as the dress just fits, but she LOVED it!!!

And to finish off two videos of her "flying" around and "twirling". These video's only make me realize with sadness that my baby is such a little girl now!
