Baby Girl -
Well it's official - as of yesterday (yeah, I'm a day late on this post) you are officially a toddler, but always my baby that's for sure! It's hard to believe this letter concludes your 1st year with us. You are what made us from a family of 3 to a family of 4. We have more love in our hearts for you and your sister than either of us thought possible to love. *Corny* I know, but incredibly true! I refer to you as my miracle. You are such a blessing, especially after our previous losses, your birth renewed hope in me again and made me feel whole again.
I feel like not much has changed this past month with you. You are still not standing by yourself or walking. You can tell that you really want to and are a pro barely holding onto our fingers, but you just can't seem to take that leap by yourself. I know it'll come when you are ready! You still only have 4 teeth, this past weekend you slept horribly for 3 nights, thought for sure some teeth were popping through and 1 is right there, but still not completely through. Nights like that are no fun for either of us.
I stopped nursing you completely at 11 1/2 months. I'm so happy that I was able to give you that gift and nurse as long as I did. When I decided to BF, I was just praying and hoping to make it through the first 2 weeks, the hardest ones "they" say - & yes, "they" are right. You had your first sippy of milk last night for dinner and you don't seem sure about it. Hopefully there's no problems switching you over to milk completely. As for table food, you love most of what we give you - especially your veggies!
We had our first significant snowfalls in the past month and you've been out to play twice. Mostly you just like to lay down in the snow and eat it off your mitten. We had you sled down the hill in our backyard a couple times with your Sissy and once with Daddy - you barely cracked a smile, am sure you're going to love it more next year!
We had our own private celebration with you yesterday. Emma got you a pounding shape block, Daddy & I got you the Lil' Zoomer's racetrack, pair of shoes, and some foam mats for in front of your toy area. You love everything. We sang Happy Birthday after dinner to you and you were clapping, smiling and swaying back and forth - it was the cutest thing! No surprise you loved your cupcake. Especially the whipped icing, we video taped you eating it and your face after the 1st taste is priceless and then you dive in for another taste. We're looking forward to seeing you Saturday with your smash cake.
Speaking of - we're having a BIG party for you Saturday with our family and close friends. We're holding it at the church and your theme is called a mod monkey. A girly monkey with a bow on her head and lime green and pink as your colors. I've been busy all week making decorations for the fellowship hall. Tomorrow will be spent baking and prepping all of the meals and then we're going to decorate the hall in the evening with Gramma & PopPop's help.
As your sister and I say - Love you to the rocket, to the moon and back!
The Mama

Happy Birthday to Me!
Yesterday, this girl turned...
26
I feel like this is the year where things are going to change and happen. I'm done looking back and only have blinders on for the future and the great things that I know have to be around the corner. Last year, not sure why, blame it on me being 9 months pregnant at the time or what, but I had a very hard time with 25. This year am happy to report I welcomed 26 with open arms.
The day itself was pretty relaxed, just how I like it! I got lots of wonderful phone calls and messages for my family and friends. I was spoiled with some wonderful goodies this year - some cash, clothes, flowers, lenses and filters for my camera and one of the things I'm most excited about below,
That's me holding my Amber Edition of Becky Higgins Project Life. I look so forward to starting our Family albums. As a previous paper scrapper unfortunately life gets busy and I found I hardly had time to do it and this is such a great option for me to preserve our family's life. Haven't heard of Becky before, definitely go check out her blog that I've linked to her name above, am sure you'll fall in love as much as several other people have.
Here's a picture of my girls' relaxing watching a show. This is their new thing, normally Emma is laying down too, but she sat up as soon as she saw that camera come out.
The Hubs & Emma made me my favorite cake, Party Cake anyone? It was super yummy and loved hearing my little girl sing Happy Birthday to me.

Happy 4th Birthday Emma Rose!
Emma Rose, aka Shorty
This time, 1:07 am, 4 years ago we were blessed with a beautiful healthy little girl. I never knew the difference she would make in our lives, but I sure have enjoyed each loop to loop on this path of parenthood and watching this needy newborn turn into the smart, hilarious, beautiful little girl in a blink of an eye it seems.
I would have to say that I'm glad to see the 3's gone and on to the 4's - although I've heard that they aren't much better than 3's. My dear little girl you and I have had many a moments over the past year. You've become much more opinionated and sassing back. I think I've finally figured out how to react and act in certain situations/circumstances with you so things are going more smoothly. Which makes me oh so happy!
You are such a good mix of girly-girl and tomboy. You love dressing up, wearing heels and walking around talking about being a princess and needing to find your prince to marry, on the other hand you are Daddy's fishing buddy and love digging in the yard for worms, camping and cooking over a campfire.
You are really into Knock-Knock jokes right now. You love to run ahead in a room someone is going to go in, hide and "try" and scare them. I have to take you clothes shopping with me, because I went one time without you, and you point blank told me you didn't like any of it. You are really into Toy Story. You love playing games, either on our cell phones, the wii (such as wii fit plus), or board games. You are getting better about not always winning. You love to color/draw/paint and do other crafty things. You and Mimi craft holiday & seasonal magnets for the whole family - which they love. You also love doing puzzles.
Some of your favorite songs to sing along with are: Sara Bareilles-Love Song, Ke$ha-Tick Tock, B.O.B. & Eminem-Airplane, Sara Bareilles-Many the Miles (but you sing Many the Mom's). We always having music playing during each meal and when cooking in the kitchen, you and I have lots of fun dancing around & singing - being goofy.
We do PreK school books & activities with you twice a week and you are doing great. You get frustrated when something is difficult (just like your Daddy when he was little) but you're doing better and taking a breather and starting again, as we say everything takes practice.
This year has been a change for you as you've gone from being the only child to having a little sister. You are an amazing big sister! You are such a big help when it comes to getting things for Avalynn. You two are starting to play together more, which is just something so amazing to watch and see. You love doing silly things just to make her smile/laugh.
Here's a reminder of some promises you made us this year:
1. You will not pierce your nose/belly button or other body parts until you are 52.
2. No tattoos until you are 21.
3. No getting married until you are done with college or other schooling after high school.
I look forward to the things to come in the next year and for the many things that we'll learn as we continue onward. I love you so much Emma and most of all want to thank you for making me a mommy!!!

The Hiatus must come to an End...
I can't believe it's been practically 3 weeks since my last post, I haven't even been reading up on anyone, I have much much catching up to do.
Our Christmas was wonderful. We are so lucky and very blessed by our loved ones. We had our final Christmas last weekend. Still have some presents to put away and outside decorations to take down, but all in time right?
New Year's was a great time spent with friends. And New Year's day we got to witness my aunt's annual polar bear dip in front of her house. Too cold for us though. And spent the afternoon at Sesame Street Live.
Today, is my birthday, turned the big 2-4! Woo-HOO! I took the plunge and finally got my tattoo that I've been wanting. It's beautiful and I love it. Unfortunately bad weather canceled our original plans but the day turned out wonderful anyways.
For some reason on birthdays and perhaps it's just because it's the new year, it's a time for reflections and things I want to change.
- I finally feel like I'm in a good place, and that feels good!
- I'm putting my health up to the top of my list. Am getting serious about making myself and my family healthy!
- This year I'm going to finish decluttering my house. November and December I really started and in this process of getting out all of that junk, I've finally fallen in love with our home and it is a home, no longer just a house. I love being here.
- Venturing on new and exciting things such as opening an Etsy store with my dear friend Deann, will keep posted on the grand opening and everything.
- Being more serious with our money and getting us back on budget, I did so well the end of last year and the past month or so have fallen off of the wagon some. Time to hop back on.
- Taking more time for my friends and family members.
It feels good to get all of these things down and out. I myself and heading up to bed, tons of pictures I'll be sharing throughout the week of our holidays, room flips, some projects, awesome homemade gifts we got and bday celebrations.

Merry Christmas to All...
Well, the time is finally here. We are drawing upon the 13th hour of Christmas Eve and can I just say I can't believe it's here! All of this preparation and finally only hours away from being able to enjoy Emma and all of the Christmas Magic over the next few days.
I got this email today that I thought I'd fwd on to everyone. scrapnfonts has this gorgeous free font (http://www.scrapnfonts.com/searchdetail.php?psku=12133). I personally def. plan on using it for next years cards/gift tags.
Most of all I just want to wish everyone a wonderful and safe Christmas with your families and loved ones. Enjoy every moment! And let's celebrate Jesus birth!
I am going to be gone probably until the new year, but will be back full force then! I wish you all a Happy New Year too!

How quickly a week can go...
I've been wanting to write up an entry all week but the time has just flown by. Let's start with last Saturday the 20th. We all headed over to my aunt's house for a surprise 50th celebration around their campfire. It was fun, she was surprised, and good times with family!
A beautiful sunset on the way to my Aunt's house.

She's my "Cheese-o-roni"

Family & Friends gathering around.

Laying out the yummy food!

Here come's Uncle Joe and Mom with cake & flowers.

There were a lot of candles to blow out on that cake!

Sister's forever.

Gathering around the fire pit.

"Again" Pappy.

The flag pole lit up.

Cheese is so yummy!

On Sunday was my online crop. I did get 4 layout's done and taught a class on how to make a gift bag. Which I posted pictures last week. It was fun.
Picture taken "Pre" croppiness.

Challenge: Layout with the following colors: Green, Pink, & Orange

Challenge: I love _______

Challenge: Who am I?

Challenge: Use Sketch A or B, I used B.

"Post" Croppiness

As always it feels good to get the creative juices flowing. And I used some new techniques, actually scrapped about myself, and used some color choices I normally wouldn't have selected.A beautiful sunset on the way to my Aunt's house.

The rest of this week has been getting ready for Emma's 2nd Birthday party this Sunday. We have a crazy weekend ahead. Apple Festival, my cousin's wedding, last minute party errands, and the birthday party.
Emma got two presents today. One from her birthday buddy on my LSB group. She got a my little pony and a shirt. And then Tonya from my work got her a stuffed Eeyore, socks, books, bubbles, sesame street hair clips, Halloween picture frame, and a duck. She's loving it all. I'm so excited to see her open presents this year. Since at Christmas time she was horribly sick and just not into it.
It's been a rough week personally for me. So much is swirling around my head. I just want to thank my LSM's and Deann from the very depths of my heart for listening and being here for me. I really don't know what I'd do without you amazing ladies!!! Love each of you!!!
Speaking of amazing ladies...check out this awesome name siggy Lisa made me for my blog. LOVE IT! And with that, peace out!!!

In Other News...
1. Happy Birthday to my cousin Sara!
2. Emma is feeling SO MUCH better today. Some kind of funky bug is going around and it seems like everyone is having different symptoms. Emma got hit with the diarrhea part of it all. And she's been having bouts of it a couple/few times a day. Tuesday night when I got home the hubs said that she was starting to freak out when he'd change her diaper. Midnight that night she woke up with another bout. I tried changing her and she just started crying, screaming NO at me, clamping her legs shut. The hubs got awoken and tried helping me to just clean her up. That was a no go, so I though ok, we'll put her in the tub. Yeah, as soon as the water hit her she started crying in pain and stood up very quickly. It was horrible. I felt so bad for her. So, we went to the dr's and got some medicated cream. The first two times where as struggle to put it on her. But she looks 150% better today!!! Yay...I hate my baby being in pain.
3. Eric is in two golf tournaments this weekend. His first. That's exciting! Everyone please think of him. Hopefully he'll win some prizes. :o)

Weekend Fun-ness
I don't think it still has hit me that we are already in September! I mean seriously, my baby girl will be turning 2 in 23 days!!! It's making me just want to dig my heels deep into the ground and slow down time some. It's going by too quickly. Until her birthday we have golf tournaments, church dinners, scrapbooking crop, apple festival, and a wedding. I just feel like this month is going to fly by too quickly. Anyways, moving forward.
First off...Happy Birthday Uncle Chooky!
Secondly - What strange weather the past couple days. Friday was up in the 90's and sunny. Yesterday (Saturday) was pouring down rain all day until later evening down in the 70's but it was humid. Today is sunny and I'm going to guess in the 70's/80's. I'm just glad that there is a decent breeze blowing through the house.
Thirdly - I went to my first adult sex party. The company is called Tasteful Treasures. Maureen a woman I work with was hosting it. I rode down with two other ladies I work with. It was a fun party. You got to test out the edible stuff, lotions, massage oils, etc on your hands. It was fun seeing what all is out there and seeing things up close, instead of just purchasing w/o knowing what you are getting.
Fourthly - Rainy days are perfect times for crafts! I saw this on a girls blog from my BB on BBC. So, we did our own lady bug project also. Pictures following...
